Qualifications

• Education in business administration, economics, banking or similar background
• Experience in the energy industry — particularly in settlement and with PPAs in the energy industry
• Fluent written and spoken English; good German skills are a plus
• Desirable experience using SAP and Endur, as well as Microsoft Office, reporting, automation or data tools
• Strong settlement experience gained in Trading Operations, Back Office, commodity operations or a comparable operational environment
• Essential knowledge of German and UK power markets, with an understanding of the operational lifecycle of structured energy contracts
• Strong analytical skills, clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international environment

Responsibilities

• Supporting the operational delivery of complex power transactions across the German and UK markets
• Carry out Back Office activities for complex power contracts, including PPAs, BESS transactions and associated ancillary services
• Prepare, check and process complex settlements and invoices
• Perform deal verification, trade validation, data quality checks, contract interpretation support and operational set-up
• Investigate and resolve settlement queries, payment discrepancies, volume or price mismatches, process exceptions and operational incidents
• Maintain strong controls, evidence, documentation and KPI tracking
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate processes as PPA and BESS volumes continue to grow
